About Kick-off! Kick-off! continuously monitors your system to make sure it is running normally. If the system crashes, Kick-off! restarts it automatically. Many popular server applications integrate Kick-off! support to give additional protection. Kick-off! also lets you keep a detailed log of crashes. To configure your Kick-off! settings, open the Kick-off! control panel application.
Other components Kick-off! is based on our PowerKey power control system. In order to function, Kick-off! relies on the background software components and helper files used by the PowerKey software. See the Kick-off! background software for more information. System requirements The "OS X" Kick-off! software requires Mac OS X 10.1 or higher. The "Classic" Kick-off! software requires Mac OS 8.6 or 9.x. It also requires that your system has CarbonLib 1.4 or later. The current version of CarbonLib will automatically be installed by the Kick-off! installer if necessary. The Kick-off! hardware works on any desktop Macintosh with a built-in USB port. It may work with some USB upgrade cards, but this configuration is not guaranteed. It can be connected to a USB hub. May not be compatible with some models of PowerBook or iBook. Use with a flat-panel iMac or PowerBook requires a set of adapter power cables (available separately). Related topics | |||
