Sophisticated Circuits releases iDo Script Scheduler 1.5 at Macworld Expo

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 10, 2003 -- at Macworld Expo Booth #4120 -- Sophisticated Circuits today released iDo Script Scheduler 1.5, an easy to use utility that helps users automate their machines using AppleScript, Perl or shell scripts. Mac OS X users can now schedule events that run scripts automatically -- any time, day or night. iDo Script Scheduler can also initiate scripts automatically when the system is idle, or the user presses pre-configured Hot Keys.
New in this version

iDo Script Scheduler 1.5 is fully compatible with OS X 10.1 and up. In addition to AppleScripts and OSA scripts, the new version also supports the execution of Perl and shell scripts under OS X. Also new in this version is an unrestricted 30-day demo period.
Repeating, Hot Key and Idle Triggers

iDo Script Scheduler allows the user to create multiple events with time-based triggers. These events can run scripts either once, on chosen day(s) of the week or month, or on any regular repeating interval. Each event can also pass a line of parameters to the script.
The Hot Key feature allows the user to launch scripts with a keystroke (in combination with modifier keys), providing a fast, global way for users to run scripts, regardless of what else is happening with the applications or the OS.
Idle triggers wait for user-definable periods of mouse inactivity to automatically execute scripts, allowing for tasks to be run automatically when a user is no longer present, such as routine housekeeping, automatic backup or auto-logout.

iDo Script Scheduler puts powerful schedule-driven automation into the toolbox of every Mac user. It is compatible with Mac OS 8.6-9.2.x and Mac OS X 10.1 and up.
